Of COURSE it wasn't Jude Law!

Because when I do literally almost collide with Jude Law on the street, I will not be walking home sweaty and bedraggled fresh from the gym singing along to "I want you to want me". So that extremely good-looking Jude Law-looking guy whom I bumped into while rounding a corner really just wasn't him. I didn't get a really good look at him to be sure-sure, but it doesn't matter, since it wasn't him. Just someone Judesque.

Aside from not seeing Jude Law today, things in London are swimming along quite well. Spring is more or less here, and there has probably been an equal mix of sun along with the clouds, which I can deal with much better.

Saturday was downright summery, and I walked down to Notting Hill with my friend Meg in the sun, and walked past lots of folks out in convertibles which made me miss my baby something fierce. Would have been the first top-down day of the year, hands down, and that is one of my favorite rituals of spring - springing the lid for the first time in months...soon, baby, soon... It was probably one of the most crowded that I have seen London - the streets were plum clogged with traffic (indeed, we ended up walking the 2 miles down to Notting Hill and ultimately passed the bus we had missed). My tube line was shut down and there was a massive anti-war protest in Hyde Park on the 2nd anniversary of the Iraq invasion.

So now it's back to breakfasts out on the terrace (due to the high walls on either side, I only get direct sunlight from about 10.30 - 11.30 am), which is nice, and I might plant some colorful flowers this weekend.

Not much else to share... having dinner for my friend Sara's 30th tomorrow night (she's in visiting from NYC) and Beth arrives on Saturday morning. May potentially go clubbing Saturday night (we'll see about that) and then chill around London with Beth until we leave for Vienna on Tuesday. Then it's the opera, singing the Sound of Music on a hillside in Salzburg, a visit to some Viennese wineries, and other good times!

Until then, Happy Easter!
